Heather Wesseler is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Myofunctional Therapist who is passionate about helping children and families find their voice — literally and figuratively. With a Master's degree and the CCC-SLP credential from ASHA, Heather brings both clinical rigor and heartfelt care to every session. Her work spans articulation, language development, feeding, and orofacial myofunctional therapy, and she approaches each child as a whole person, not a set of goals on a page. Heather believes that communication is connection — and that every child deserves to be heard.
Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Language Pathology, with double minors in Family Relationships and Child Studies, followed by her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2015 from Miami University of Ohio. She has worked with all populations from pediatrics to adults; most of her career has been in outpatient pediatrics, with hospital and school experience as well.
Heather evaluates and treats phonological and articulation deficits, expressive and receptive language disorders, pragmatic language disorders, oral motor deficits, and feeding. Her IMSC training lets her support clients with myofunctional needs as part of a comprehensive approach to communication and oral function. She loves working alongside families and creating a warm, fun environment for kids to grow in their communication confidence.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys time with her husband, their three young children, and their goldendoodle, Oliver. Her favorite things include being outdoors, family time, coffee, and exercise.
