This policy covers the Website only. When you or your child become a patient, health information we create or receive while providing care is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and North Carolina law, and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. Ask any member of our team or call (704) 610-8250 for a copy. If anything in this policy conflicts with our Notice of Privacy Practices about patient health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

Information We Collect

Information you choose to give us

You can browse the Website without telling us who you are. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us, for example when you:

  • Request an appointment or a wellness assessment. These forms may ask for a parent or guardian’s name, phone number, and email address; your child’s name, age, and date of birth; and information about your child’s development, health, and the concerns that bring you to us.
  • Submit a provider referral. Healthcare providers may send us referral information about a patient.
  • Register for Bloom Society. The registration form asks for information about you and your baby.
  • Call, email, or message us, including through links to our social media pages.

Please share only what is needed to schedule or answer your question. Do not send detailed medical records or sensitive information by regular email; our team will tell you how to share records securely.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, some technical information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and our analytics service, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the Website secure, fix problems, and understand which pages are useful.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to appointment requests, wellness assessment requests, referrals, and questions.
  • To schedule and coordinate care, and to send appointment-related communications you request.
  • To register you for programs you sign up for, such as Bloom Society.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of our patients, our practice, and others.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or rent health information. We do not use information from our forms for advertising.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Statcounter, a web analytics service, to count visits and see which pages are viewed. Statcounter may set cookies and receives technical information such as your IP address and the pages you visit. Statcounter does not receive the contents of our forms. See the Statcounter privacy policy.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising on the Website.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Website will still work. Our Website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for them; this does not change the limited, non-advertising analytics described above.

Third-Party Services on the Website

Parts of the Website are provided by trusted third parties. When you use these features, the provider may receive information from your browser and handles it under its own privacy policy:

  • Online forms (NativeForms). Our appointment, wellness assessment, provider referral, and Bloom Society forms are hosted by NativeForms and appear inside our pages. Information you enter is sent to NativeForms and then to us.

  • Patient Portal (Fusion Web Clinic). Our patient portal is operated by Fusion Web Clinic on its own website.
  • Maps and fonts (Google). Our embedded map is provided by Google Maps, and our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies on the map. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Website hosting (Netlify). Our Website is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard server logs to deliver and protect the Website.
  • Amazon Associates. Our Products page links to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a product link, Amazon may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy.
  • Continuing education registration (Motivations CEU). Registration for the Integrative Myofunctional Specialist Certification (IMSC) course is handled by Motivations CEU on its own website.
  • Social media. Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages take you to those platforms. We do not place social media tracking pixels on the Website.

We keep information submitted through the Website for as long as needed to respond to you and provide services. If you become a patient, your information becomes part of your health record and is kept for the time required by North Carolina law and professional record-keeping standards.
